Senior Frontend Developer (React Js)

Location: Seattle, WA (Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

You will help us build next generation, responsive, single-page applications with front-end technologies like React, Redux, and TypeScript, with data provided from microservices built with AWS EC2, Lambda, and DynamoDB. You will work closely with software development engineers, UX designers, and product managers from conception through delivery of thoughtful customer experiences.

Responsibilities​

  • Convert static mockups produced by UX Designers into fully functional complex web applications.

  • Collaborate with UX Team to develop and maintain a component library standardized across all enterprise frontend applications.

  • Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish standards regarding design patterns, tooling, DevOps, code quality, code management, documentation, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with backend Software Developers to define API contracts implementing best practice design patterns.

  • Provide expert guidance on frontend development standards supporting a two-year enterprise technology roadmap.

  • Influence project planning and estimates.

  • Drive assigned tasks to completion against commitments (requires a highly motivated, gets things done, self-starter).

  • Work effectively within a team environment to implement projects in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer, with strong working knowledge of Vue.js (or equivalent framework), Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, modern web standards, responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, common frontend design patterns

  • Proficiency using CSS pre-processors (SASS or LESS)

  • Proficiency with development workflows using build tools like Webpack, Grunt & Gulp

  • Experience designing and developing consumer-facing enterprise applications

  • Extensive experience working with backend development teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and technical writing skills
